If you seek constant/heavy usage you need to buy Dewalt. This seems to be designed for around the house on/off light/medium usage. Just be sure you buy extra batteries if you are doing any type of extended use work. I own several different makes of recharge tools, including Ryobi. When used in that capacity you will be pleased with its performance.
It took a full charge and is working well on my portable tools. The battery appears to be all that was advertised. I am very satisfied, and will probably purchase another very soon.
I took very good care of the battery but it has not lasted as long as batteries of other cordless tools I have owned. It is strange that a replacement battery costs more than I originally paid for the cordless drill and its battery. I bought a cordless drill that came with a flashlight and another tool using this style battery. I think they must sell the tool at a loss in order for you to keep having to buy batteries for it.
They have served me well for years. Ben Ferrante Again more lost time, and more of my MONEY spent. Also If there is a problem with the mail order Roybi mail order return I have to pay S&H to send it back. I don't have to wait for lost time in getting mail order batteries. Heidisdad was correct in saying that a twin pack for the Roybi 18 Volt is cheaper at Home Depot also if I have a problem, I just bring it back, and get a new Battery or Refund. Also I don't have to pay for S&H charges. I love the Roybi Line of Products.
You can get a 2 pack at Home Depot for less than $50. Thought I was getting a 2 pack, turned out to be just 1 battery. Go there.
